Is there such a thing?

Yes. The ThinkPad Password Manager utility that is part of ThinkPad Client Security does it. Or at least it tries. It's a little hit and miss depending on the browser and the web site. Be sure to read the documentation very carefully.

Thanks for the feedback Claudeo, I guess my Opera browser might have no support for that.

Thanks

Pardon my ignorance, but what *is* this ThinkPad Password Manager? Or where does it come from? Do you have a URL to some description or download?
This functionality sounds interesting but I've never seen or become aware of this. I just checked my Thinkpad goodies and the "productivity center" but found nothing with that name.

If you can't find it I suggest you call tech support, because it is a configuration issue. Those guys should be able to answer that kind of question interactively while you are sitting at your computer much faster that it would take us to guess without seeing it.

This is my private T60p - so tech support is rather minimalistic.
I recently did a plain-vanilla XP re-installation (plus all Windows fixes plus all Lenovo drivers (via Software Installer)). So, do I have to assume, that "ThinkPad Client Security" is not part of that default setup?
