T60 LCD upgrade

#1 Post by tvst » Fri Jan 26, 2007 1:25 am

Hi, I just bought a T60 from Lenovo and soon realized that an XGA screen is too crammed for the programs I typically use. What is the best way to upgrade to SXGA+?

Can I do this through IBM or do I have to venture with someone like ScreenTekInc.com (and probably void my warranty).

What's the best place for me to sell my current LCD to try to recoup some of my losses in all this? This is a 1-month-old LCD and I'd hate to see it unused...

On a related subject: after all, will upgrading my LCD void my warranty?

sell your current T60 and replace it with one with the 1050x1400 display...
or, if you can, call the sales rep and see if you can exchange it..

About the most complex thing you can upgrade without voiding your warranty is the ram. Ram, drive, optical drive, wireless card are the limits for user upgrades.
