Hello,
I have a T60p widescreen and a new widescreen BIOS (1.04) has just been released. Should I upgrade to the new BIOS? Is there any reason why I should be wary about upgrading?
Here's the link:

Thanks in advanced for the help!

i would do it. it is an official update, after all. you can always roll back if issues occur.

I have a general rule about applying bios upgrades: "only do bios upgrades if you have a good reason for doing so". Most people have no issues doing a bios upgrade but there are always a small number of bios upgade failures which will result in having to send the laptop in for service.
If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

I always update, BUT not immediately. Wait several weeks to see if people report problems with the new version.

I only do the BIOS updates if they offer a solution to a problem or a fix for something I'm likely to encounter. Many of them are just releases to support new systems and have no value to your present config.
I agree wholeheartedly with the "If it ain't broke don't fix it philosophy" and apply that to every "upgrade" proffered via System Update & Software Installer.

Agree. I'd only upgrade if the new BIOS fixes some problem I have or adds a feature I want.
