Windows IP Configuration

I'm having an issue with my TCP/IP connections.
Most times after booting my wireless connects and the wired shows connected by doing an ipconfig shows only "Windows IP Configuration" the rest of what should be there is not there.
I've tried updating drivers, but it does seem like a hardware issue. I've tried both Access Connections and w/o AC.
Usually a couple of reboots fixes the problem. ANy ideas?
It's a T60p - 2613CTO
Thanks people.

Interesting problem especially since a couple reboots seems to fix the problem. First thing I would do is roll back your drivers to the original. Then dump them off the map. Then load the updated drivers to see what happens there. It could be a problem with the original drivers that Updating is still leaving. This way you can have a clean install of a driver (hopefully)
Thanks!!

I'm going to try that, but isn't strange that neither the wireless or wired NIC show any status?

If they're inactive they don't show.
try IPCONFIG /ALL
If the power isn't enabled to the wireless (switch in the front of your Thinkpad), then the device essentially doesn't exist to the system.

as previously mentioned the wireless can be shut off with the little switch on the front of the laptop. Therefore it will basically be "uninsalled" to your computer. I would guess this is a driver problem but I wont say that for sure. It is possible that the TCP/IP protocol got hosed up but usually you will get a different problem and an error when trying to renew. Let me know how things go for ya.
Thanks!!

And the integrated NIC also shuts down if not connected and I suspect that it won't show up in ipconfig either..
