thinkpad T60/X41T display comparison

just ordered T60P with 14". originally ordered the 15 flexview, but changed for a machine with slightly better portability and a smaller desk footprint. however, there's lots of opinions that support the flexview as being worth the extra size if you value a great display. not knowing if the 14" display is less than my taste, i have to ask this question to those who may know. since i have an X41Tablet....
can anyone compare the display quality of an X41T to the T60P flexview or the T60P 14"?

Can you let us know when you get both? Obvoiusly, you yourself will be that person that you are looking for.

From what I experienced when I briefly played with someone's X41T, it's a true IPS display, so it's colors and viewing angles are top notch, but the digitizer made it somewhat blurry, compared to a regular IPS display.
My advice is to stop asking these questions, or you'll never be happy. The 15" display is far better than the 14" display, when you only compare display quality. However, you made the choice for the 14" and there are many good reasons for it - smaller, lighter, better battery life.

i realize this and thank you for the suggestion. it's very true and i took that into account when choosing my rig... even at well over $2000 there are compromises to be made.

and what's really ironic is that lenovo just sent me the wrong one... they sent me the 15" Flex, not the 14" from the changed order. but i'm not planning on opening it, just returning it unopened. don't want a monster to lug around.

as it turns out, and maybe i should have figured this out from having a tablet with a wide viewing angle, is that my X41T has a flexview display. i've seen several posts where folks appreciate the X41T display as being brighter and generally better than the regular X41's. i do like this display, and i wouldn't want to downgrade. lenovo has shipped 2 T60P's to me with the same config, one 14.1 and one 15 Flex. looks like i'll crack the 15" first!

i received my T60P 15" and the display is incredibly nice. it's a tad more bright than my X41T, and the colors are far better in every way. this 15" IPS panel is definitely an upgrade so to speak from the X41T panel, which i've considered quite good. i was deciding between the 14.1" T60P and the 15". not all about the bulky 15" form factor, and i've never seen a 14.1 T60P in action, but as long as i've got an X series, why not enjoy a larger display? happy with my choice. any specific questions, please ask.
