Hello-

Ocassionally when i come out of hibernation, the computer powers on but the screen does not come up, and i have to turn it off. This is becoming a problem when i have unsaved documents and i lose them. I would say 1 out of every 50 times i close the computer this happens. Does anyone know how to fix?

Thanks

I would be curious to know what causes this as well, though on my T40 this happens when I come out of suspend.

There's another thread in the T4x forum about this same issue. The post I placed there may or may not shed some light:

This happens on my T60 on occasion. I fix it by closing and opening the lid, it also only happens on the LCD itself, it is not a problem for the external monitor.

I have experienced the same problem, but it hasn't reoccurred since I've updated the bios.

Actually, just happened again...=(

This time, I left my laptop idle for a while and the screen turned off to save power. When I moved the mouse, the screen didn't turn back on. The laptop was not in suspend mode or anything. Only the screen was turned off to save power. I had to bring the system in and out of suspend mode to get the screen to turn on again. Weird...

Jordan, I've seen this problem too on my T60p, I get around it by putting it back in Hibernate mode and then bringing it out.
