Any experience with Euclid?
Any experience with Euclid?
I am in the market for a T60p and noticed an excellent deal. Could this be true?
I am looking at:
http://www.euclidcomputers.com/frameset ... es+0+New+0
When I run the 2623-8YU at Lenovo I get a T7200
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... yle=lenovo
Could this be accurate? Do they sell "New" or referbished items they state new in the text of the add.
Any experience would be hopeful.

Doing a Google search on that model number pulls up the same specs as the Euclid Computers website. It's not the current Core 2 Duo T7200 that the Lenovo website states, it is the T2500 Core Duo processor. Being a slightly older model, it also has the FireGL V5200 instead of the newer V5250.
But regardless, if you don't absolutely have to have the newest CPU and video subsystem, the deal at Euclid is very good! If it has the features and specs you are looking for, don't hesistate.

If you don't mind me asking-how long did it take from the day you placed your order thru Euclid to when it was delivered?gkratkin wrote:I recently purchased an 8744-C9U from Euclid. They had to order it, but the website stated that up front. They responded quickly to my inquiries and the machine arrived when expected. No complaints.

I ordered Fri. 1/22, at the end of the day. I received the machine Thurs. 2/8. I paid $1999, no tax, and free UPS ground.
BTW, I'm coming from a 15" FlexView T42p to this 15.4 WSXGA+. I wasn't sure I was going to like the new form factor, and I was worried about some of the criticism I read here about the non-FlexView screen. As it turns out, I think I'm going to like it. I may not be as discerning as some, but the screen looks pretty nice to me. I'm running Vista-32.
