Many T60 users have reported that their screens flicker when expanding their desktop to a second monitor. chordstrummer has posted a work-around in another thread that stops the flicker.
1. Boot normally
2. Use Alt+F4 to suspend your T60
3. Wake the system by pressing the Fn key
The flicker won't happen again until you re-boot, at which time you'll have to do the steps over again.
