I ordered a T60P last week and the model number assigned is 2613CT. Since then I have noticed there is another T60P model, the 2623CT. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two models?

Much appreciated!

CT means Custom to Order, so I can't tell you.

I realise the CT means custom order but what about the 2613 vs 2626. I understand this is the actual model number. Am I wrong?

Sorry to add another question to this topic... but I was wondering also whether anybody new the difference between 2613-HKU vs 2613-CTO... Can they possibly be the same model?

I think that question is impossible to answer since the CTO literally means "Configure to Order." Just for fun I went back into the main site (I bought EPP) and configured my current notebook (2613HKU) and the end result was a 2613CTO. I'm guessing one of the following:

1. Depending on the order they try to match the computer up with a mostly configured model (hence the HKU). My invoice (granted through EPP) listed the individual parts with the barebones as a 2613HKU. The "barebones" included almost everything except wireless, RAM, hard drive, and DVD-RW, possibly a little more. The base components like CPU, screen, graphics, etc were all included in this package. The invoice showed the part as:
2613HKU LENOVO THINKPAD T60 2613 - CORE 2 DUO T7200 2 GHZ - 14.1" TFT
2. Maybe it depends on how you order it whether they just give it the HKU or the CTO, has anyone here received a notebook whose actual model number (written on the bottom) was actually CTO? Could CTO just be something they use during the order process to suggest that it's a custom config, but the actual build is done using a real part number (eg. 2613HKU)?

I don't believe there is any inherent difference between 2613- and 2623- models. With CTO you can most likely configure them to be identical. Did you compare the specifications (and prices for the identical configuration)?

Zeus, thanks for the update, I just wasn't sure...mine was definitely a configure to order, but it clearly says 2613HKU on the bottom.

Anyway, I think a quick Google/Froogle search turned up the answer to the original question. If you search for "Lenovo 2623" using either Froogle or Google, you will see that all of the results have a Core Duo processor (not Core 2 Duo). I'm betting that this is the major difference between the two models.
