What is "on-site" warranty?

My new 1953-CTO T60 has standard warranty. I didn't pay extra for any warranty issues. As I understand it I can upgrade within the first year of ownership. I bought end of November. What exactly is "on-site" warranty? What options are available to me as a new owner? If that differs from what's available to someone in the process of ordering, what are the differences? TIA.

On-site is available at purchase time. It means that they'll send a tech to your office to fix any problems.

Is it impossible to upgrade warranty after two weeks of purchase date?
My computer works fine but it would be nice to have on-site warranty if any problems appears.

Unless they have changed recently you can upgrade/extend your warranty at any time while the existing warranty is valid.
Like Zeus said, On-site means they come to your location to fix your computer instead of sending it in to the repair depot.
