When do we expect to see a new ThinkPad range with....
Since the release of Vista I have noticed that a couple of Mobile manufacture have been releasing laptops packaged with a secondary display which allows for “email push service" and other items that use Microsoft Active Notifications. Does anyone know if or when should be expecting the next ThinkPad T6xp range?
There are non planned at the moment.
The jury is still out on whether sideshow is a gimmick or not, I see the benefit of it on a remote or a phone but on the back of my notebook i'm not really sure of the value being added. I think Lenovo will probably wait until the technology proves itself in the marketplace. I see consumer PCs having it initially as its another shiny screen to lure in unsuspecting computer neophytes.

I vote gimmick on this one. If I'm in the office (where the notebook would be able to check for email arrival) I'll have my system powered on anyway. And on the road I have my Blackberry, and others will have other smartphones or PDAs.snife wrote:The jury is still out on whether sideshow is a gimmick or not, I see the benefit of it on a remote or a phone but on the back of my notebook i'm not really sure of the value being added. I can come up with a dozen or more features I'd rather spend money on rather than this one.
X220 (4287-2W5, Windows 8 Pro) / X31 (2672-CXU, XP Pro) / X61s (7668-CTO, Windows 8 Pro)
