does anyone know how can I turn off the message Rescue and Recovery is scheduled to back up your sytem now? I just got my T60 laptop yesterday.

does anyone know how can I turn off the message Rescue and Recovery is scheduled to back up your sytem now? I just got my T60 laptop yesterday.

Open up Rescue and Recovery (probably under Thinkvantage in your programs list or also accessible from the desktop under Thinkvantage or Thinkvantage Productivity Center; unsure of your exact IBM Preload). I'm at my desktop right now but it is very easy to find what you need to do next. It is either under "schedule" or possibly under the "advanced" tab.

In any event, the default is to check the box to schedule backups weekly. Uncheck this box and your problems should be solved.
