I keep directing Lenovo sales to this site so they can see how disgruntled people are with the sparkle grainy display on the Widescreens.
So I thought it would be a good idea to see what people would be willing to pay for a bona fide 15.4" Wide IPS Flexview.
If you have bought or are considering a widescreen, or if you wanted a widescreen but bought a 15" because you don't want the sparkle grainy, please respond to the poll.
Thanks.

FWIW, people have been complaining about sparkle/graininess on some of the SXGA+ Flexviews. So this problem will not automatically be solved.
On the other hand, IPS technology that Lenovo markets as "Flexview" is superior to the regular screens. However, I'm not sure that Lenovo is the right address here. I'm sure they'd have IPS widescreens as an option, if these were available (certainly in the T60p). But so far I have yet to see any IPS widescreen, and I don't know of any LCD manufacturers that make such a panel.

Supply and demand.
My hope is that if we make the demand obvious enough, Lenovo and or their suppliers will find a way to supply.

The problem is that IBM/Lenovo is the only company having courage to deliver IPS notebook panels. That's why there are so few manufacturers of such panels regardless of its size. I would expect moving from SXGA+ to WSXGA+ FlexView
As for sparkle/graininess, a months ago I got a NEC 20" UXGA LCD having LG A-TW-IPS panel which is having this issue. I couldn't stand it first two weeks. After the month I can compare it side-by-side with my ThinkPad (SXGA+ IDTech). While the ThinkPad does not have any sparkle it looks "blurry" (less sharp text) comparing to LG even so it has smaller pixel size.

did you all try this: doing right click over the desktop background > properties> settings tab> set color quality to 32 bits instead of 16?? I did this and the blurry icons and some text all went away!!!
