Turning Off System Beep When Hitting 2 Keys at Once

I have turned off the "system beep" in the BIOS. Yet, when I hit two keys at once by accident, the system makes a much louder than normal volume setting beep. Not an issue when just using the laptop speakers, but not very exciting when I hook up external powered speakers, listening to music at a low level, and then, totally out of the blue, getting the very loud system beep reminding me I hit 2 keys at once. Makes my whole office jump because it's so loud as to be heard throughout the office... any way to turn this useless beep off? Thank you for your ideas.

1. Open the Device Manager
2. From the View menu, select "Show Hidden Devices"
3. Under "Non plug-and-play drivers" find the "Beep" device
4. Right-click and disable it.

Thanks from me for this also. I've been playing games on the laptop and right in the middle of a firefight in Call of Duty a Beep is kind of unrealistic.

Oh my god. I love you. I want to have your children!!!!!
I don't know why they would ever put this beep in.. It's archaic.
NEVER AGAIN IBM, NEVER AGAIN.
This will be like removing a tumor.

Many many thanks.
Somebody please write to Lenovo how to do it, so they will include this in the next software patch.
