LCD Failures?

I tried searching the forums, but was unable to find much about this issue.
We've had a hundred or so T60s that were purchased starting last April/May, and other than some software issues(Access connections anyone?) we've been pretty happy. However, recently we have had a set that have had recurring LCD problems over the past 2 or 3 months.. a couple laptops have had the LCD die 3-5 times. The machine powers on, and the LCD backlight powers on, but no image is displayed on the LCD. If we hook up an external monitor, and switch the display over, it works fine. These are all 15" 1024x768 screens, but I don't know if they're all the same panel manufacturer.
IBM covers the repairs under our warranty just fine, but some of them have died again on arrival(I have one on my desk that arrived today, and the LCD did not work even the first time I turned it on.), or a couple days later.
Has anyone else seen unusually high LCD (or LCD cable or inverter?) mortality rates with the 15" screen T60 line?
