Can't reinstall R&R

I uninstalled R&R since I couldn't get it load up. I thought I would try to uninstall then reinstall it with the new 4.0 version (XP Pro) to fix this. However as it's installing and copying files to the system, it stated that I don't have enough spaced left on my recovery partition, thus it wouldn't install.

You know I can't "explore" the recovery partition in Windows to see what's there. But now I'm stuck because I don't have R&R in Windows that I can make further backup. Although I'm still able to access from booting ThinkVantage, and I do have my RR start-up cd. I tried booting up from the start-up cd, it loaded the same RR screen as the ThinkVantage, just to mention that they both now don't have the restore to factory-state option anymore.

So what should I do?

Thanks!

:::

Are you XP the Original XP that come with your ThinkPad?
Try Re-Install the last version of R&R, reboot, then un-install
it. ReBoot & install the new R&R........

See if wackydan's solution will work for you.

It did not work. It still stated that I don't have enough disk space to install. :(

I got it worked!

I got it working, and this was what happened: the installation manually from the file downloaded from Lenovo failed, but the R&R installation from the System Update worked! Now my factory recovery is back and the R&R in the recovery partition is also 4.0 ^-)
