I am not sure if this is actually in the forum anywhere, as I can only find "Lenovo" numbers when I search. So for anyone interested, my laptop weighs exactly 5.8 lbs with the 6cell battery and an ultrabay 3 cell (which weighs the same as the optical, within a tenth of a lb)

Yes. Mine is 5.22 lbs with two memory sticks.

Does Lenovo sell dummy ultrabay drives to decrease the weight of the T60?

yes, they do sell the dummy bays. the name escapes me, but they are offered on the IBM site

What are "memory sticks?" You mean two sticks of DDR? I have two (1 GB and 512 MB) and my T60 14" weighs exactly 5 lb with 6 cell, integrated video, 60 GB 5400 HD and DVDR/CDRW drive.

Right, two sticks of DDR2. I am jealous that your T60 weighs so much less than mine! What's the product number? Mine is 2623-D4U.
