Brand new T60p (8741-C3U) and 4GB

Hi All,
New to the forums and I searched on this issue only to find several different threads that didn't seem to come to any hard and fast conclusion beyond the debate of OS and chipset.
I have a brand new T60p with 2GB RAM on-board and I purchased a 2GB module. After installation the BIOS indicates 4GB, but Win XP only sees 3GB. I know all about the various limitations with 32 bit OS's. I don't expect to see all 4GB. I even tried the /3GB switch in the boot.ini with no success.
My issue is that I just install a Dell desktop PC with 4GB and Win XP sees 3.54GB. I would be happy with 3.5GB on the T60p
Bottom line...Has anyone successfully seen more than 3GB in Win XP on a T60 or T60p?
Thanks!
