T60 screen size measurement

Is Lenovo now giving screen size as screen width now? I browsed to the T60 page on the Lenovo web site and one of the gallary pictures showing the difference between their 14.1 and 15.4 wide screen by drawing 2 horizontal lines on a screen. I downloaded the picture but cannot post here. Here is the link I went to:

I thought screen size is always expressed in terms of diagonal. Besides, when the wide of a wide screen T60 is spec'd at 14.1", according to psref, how can the screen be wider than the computer? Is Lenovo trying to mislead customers?
ModEdit: changed long URL into a link.

What?
The graphic you mention is targeted at people who don't know that screen measurements are taken in diagonal.
14.1" "Regular" Thinkpad = 12.2" wide
15.4" "Widescreen" Thinkpad= 14.1" wide
(..which is understandably confusing :)

However, I don't see anywhere that the screen size is measured in diagonal, not even in psref.
That picture is definitely misleading if not considered false advertising.

the picture
Although I agree the picture to be confusing if you don't know about the diagonal measurement, I think they just want to point out here that a 15.4" widescreen has the same height as a 14.1" normal, but is larger in width.
I think the picture might be clearer if they drew rectangles around both (physical) screensizes and put the diagonal screensize in the bottom right. A little bit like in
this picture.

As seeplus wrote, it's simply a comparison of the screen
width of the two displays.
Hardly "false advertising". Diagonal screen measurement is the international standard.
