What kind of test? If you're looking for bad pixels, I've used Dead Pixel Buddy in the past with no problems.

Dead Pixel Buddy seems to be okay (but I haven't personally tried it). If you are concerned about downloading freeware programs that might come with "extra" software (spyware, adware, etc.), try my suggestion about Windows Paint.

I used Dead Pixel Buddy on my 19" LCD's and used it immediately after getting my T60 with 14" + screen. Very easy and intuitive, seems thorough, and I didn't find any weird pixels. And free.
