Hi,

I want to run a T60P model 2008-8HU with ThinkPad Advanced Dock. If I put the 256MB ATI X1300LE part number: 41U5028 in the ThinkPad Advanced Dock will I be able to run two LCD displays with different resolutions on DVI.

One display is a EIZO S2411W-BK Black 24.1" with 1920 x 1200 resolution and the second one ThinkVision 6736 –HC9 20.1" with 1600 x 1200 resolution. I was thinking of connecting the 24.1" to ThinkPad Advanced Dock DVI connector and the ThinkVision 20.1" to ATI X 1300LE DVI connector.

Since I have to order everything from US ( Except the ThinkVision 20.1" - I already have that) I'm trying to make sure they work together before ordering.

And yes I did use the search but didn't find a similar setup from anyone.

Thanks

According to Lenovo, yes, you should.

but it's very important to understand that there is a nontrivial risk of this not working, see the sagas

all the best,

Hi Thesp,

I have seen both links before but I can't see the relevance to my question. Perhaps I'm missing something.

From the links,
2560 x 1600 maximum monitor resolution off the card - so the 24.1"
1920 x 1200 maximum monitor resolution off the Advanced Dock - so the 20.1 off the dock.

Or alternatively, you could just run both monitors off the card, which might be easier from a configuration point of view.

anything further?
