Will my current cdrw (39t2687) work in any other laptop with an ultrabay drive?

If you have a t60 none of these drives will fit. The t60 uses an ultra slim format and the drives you are looking at are slim drives. I believe t40 and newer use ultra slim drives.
The current cdrw in your t60 should work in t40 and newer thinkpads; however the bezel may not match perfectly.

So I'd have to buy it from Lenovo?
