Help please: Can't power on wireless

Hi I have a T60 2623 D6U with a 3945ABG wireless card.

Suddenly, I cannot power on my wireless radio. The wireless light indicator is on and it flashes every five seconds. The physical switch is on. It's enabled in the BIOS. It's enabled in device manager. You know the task icon (by the clock) beside the Access Connections, I click on that to see the Wireless Connection Status and it says Operating State: Radio Off, and I click Power on Wireless Radio, it pauses for a bit and it doesn't do anything. I press FN+F5 and it says it's off and Turning it on doesn't do anything either.

Tried many resets, toggling the physical switch, nothing. Also updated to AC 4.23.

Does anyone have any insight into my problem? Thanks in advance.

Its kind of hard to say exactly what your particular problem is. It could be driver and software related, or you may have a hardware problem with your wireless adapter card.

First I would recommend running PC-Dioctor to hopefully rule out a hardware problem. There should be PC-Doctor for Windows installed on your T60. You can also run PC-Doctor for DOS from a bootable CD to rule out any Windows specific problems. If PC-Doctor does not report any problems, then check in Windows Device Manager for any yellow exclaimation marks or red X's.

The link below does not seem to be working at the moment. I do not know if this is a temporary problem, or if Lenovo has moved the web page.

If you do not see any problems above, then see if one of the repair steps in the following link will get you going again.

Thanks for your help.

I reinstalled the Wireless and AC drivers and it works again. I guess it was just software related.
