T-60 warranty transferable?
I have an opportunity to pick up a 2 month old T60 for a couple hundred$ off, I have seen a copy of the invoice from the seller and it seems legit.
However as this T60 has 3 year warranty, I was curious if the original warranty is automatically transferred to the second owner? The seller informs me that he spoke to Lenovo and was told the warranty is transferable.
Obviously I want to make sure and have this in writing in the form of a print out from the Lenovo web site before I purchase from this seller, at this point the only thing I can find on the Lenovo website says the warranty is not transferable without the express consent of Lenovo.
Does anyone know what the official Lenovo policy is? and if there is any Lenovo web site page clearly states one way or the other.
TIA

Thinkpads warranty are on machines mostly and not personal.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,

I can confirm that. I bought a used thinkpad off the forum for my friend and just had to register it for him - the warranty is on the machine (via the type and serial number) and not fixed to the first owner (or subsequent owners, FYI).ryengineer wrote:Thinkpads warranty are on machines mostly and not personal.

Thanks for the inputs, I should clairfy that what I found on Lenovo website so far saying not transferable "appears" to be for extended warranty, but the words aren't crystal clear.
Ideally I would like to have something with IBM/Lenovo logo on it that I can print off their website.
There's far less argument if a claim becomes necessary when I can produce a document with their own company logo on it.
Thanks
