Compatibility issue with Indigo I/O PCMCIA Audio Card

I've recently purchased an Indigo i/o audio card for the ability to listen to and record high-quality audio (24 bit/ 96kHz), but cannot get the card to run on my T60.

The drivers install and the card is recognized when placed in the cardbus slot, but the hardware will not start - (code 10).

If I reboot the system with the card in place the computer freezes.

If I manually enable the card in Device Manager, it also, instantly, freezes the system.

Has anyone else had any problems installing this card on a T60?
Are there any suggestions for a fix/solution to my problem?
I think there is a problem with the IRQ but with Windows XP, I don't know how to override this.

Thanks for your help.

I doubt it's an IRQ problem, have you checked the manufacturers web site for a list of known issues or FAQ's. What does event viewer show for an error?

Yes, I have checked the manufacturers website, I even spoke with their technical support people, but no solutions were available.

My event viewer logs are clean, there are no errors or warnings. It appears that the driver install is successful, the hardware just doesn't initialize (i.e. warning in Device Manager - The device cannot start (code 10)).

If I reboot with the card in the slot, the computer hangs before nearly 2/3 of the way into Windows XP install.

There's a conflict, just no idea where? Any further suggestions as to where I might look?

Does the card work elsewhere?

Yes, it works fine on a Dell laptop I have access to.

I am using both indigo IO and indigo DJ in my T60. No problem at all.

Have you tried the latest driver from echo?

Yes, I tried the latest driver first and that did not work. Older drivers didn't work either.
Can you tell me what model T60 you are using, it might help to figure out what's wrong?

I still can't get the Indigo I/O card to work! I picked up another card (USB 2.0 adapter card) to test if my cardbus slots even work. The card attempts to install and then I get the BSOD:

NMI:Parity Check/Memory Parity Error

I think it's a hardware problem with the cardbus and/or related hardware, but I now see on the forum that there are a few problems that are leading to the BSOD. The following thread is related to the T60p +v5200
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=32339

There is a post there which has a link to Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG driver updates which fix an error causing a NMI:Parity Check/Memory Parity Error.

Are these related in anyway and is it worth my time to try these solutions to my problem or should I get my machine serviced?

P.S. On a side-note, I notice that many posts list problems, but the final solution to the problem is not there. It would be great if we could all follow-up and finish off our threads with the final solutions :)

Um, I don't know if this is related to your issue, but on my old Dell D610, my Indigo IO started freezing my system at one point. It would go back to normal when I ejected the card. The company's tech support had me insert a small piece of insulation tape into the card, which made the problem go away.

Yes, I've heard of this issue with Indigo cards, but the card works fine on other laptops. I'm pretty sure the problem is with my cardbus slot on the T60. Using another card (a USB 2.0 adapter card) in the slot crashes it to a BSOD everytime, even though the card installed no problem on a T43.
