Just got my T60 WS! Small Review and Questions

#1 Post by t60newbie » Fri Mar 23, 2007 7:17 pm

WOohoo! This laptop is awesome! Its sturdy, and it has a clean design...pictures on the internet do it no justice. It just feels like a business machine! MY first IBM! Anyway the screen is awesome! so crisp and clean and bright. And finally I have a computer where I can have high resolution and really take advantage of the extra wide screen space. Even the USB ports feel more stable and snug!

Some questions though:

1)how do u get rid of the requiremet that you press "control alt delete" to log on...i hate that!

2)also my screen does seem to flicker, but ONLY when i log on, i looked through some posts and it seems flicker problems have been addressed but only to those who have this constant flicker problem.

3)where the heck are all my OS and recovery discs????

IBM (or any other laptop manufacturer) does not send the OS on CDs. Your system comes with a recovery partition that can be used to restore the laptop to factory fresh state incase something happens. Also, Lenovo lets you burn a set of recovery disks yourself ... I suggest you do that first before installing any programs on the laptop.
