T60 Warrenty, parts replacement & return

Hi,
I just want to know if anyone have experience a case where you received a replacement on a certain part of the thinkpad (upon a call to tech-support), and you have to send in your defective unit.
Upon receiving the deflective unit, is there a chance for IBM/Lenovo to inquire with you that your detective unit was caused by a misuse? and you actually have to pay for the replacement part?
