t60 and ultranav behaviour...

hello,
i own a thinkpad since march and i have found out a strange behaviour of my ultranav (touchpad and the red dot). ramdomly ultranav stops working for a second or two, then it works as usual (i mean that for a second or two i cannot move the pointer using the red dot or the touchpad). i was wondering if this is normal or not. it happens using windows xp and linux too.

The only way to test if it's a problem with the touchpad or trackpoint is to plug in a mouse and see if that works when the others are frozen. If not, then it's just your system freezing up for a second which is probably caused by your cpu going to 100% usage.
