"t60p ws"

Hello everyone!
I currently do not have a notebook, but right now I am in the pos to buy one, and have been wanting one for a few years. After narrowing down what I'd be using it for [ "at least most of the time" ] I'm leaning toward the ThinkPad "T60P" wide screen.
I've read that the samsung lcd's are somewhat questionable. Is this in regards to contrast/brightness?. or overall color gamut?. I am interested in image editing/paint, 3d modeling/rendering & video editing. Thats why I chose the ws & firegl graphics card. This would not be my primary pc.
I would greatly appreciate any comments/suggestions!
Thanks in advance!.
