T60 vs. Macbook Pro

Hi,

I recently ordered a Thinkpad T60 and am still awaiting its arrival. During this time, I've been experiencing some cognitive dissonance -- basically second guessing myself -- over purchasing a T60 and not a Macbook or Macbook Pro. I just wanted any opinions on this matter -- especially those that have used/owned both laptops.

The main reason why I opted for the T60 -- aside from the fact that I did my research and discovered that it's probably the best PC laptop out there -- is that I need to run XP for some business/stats programs and quite frankly, I'm used to PC's. But then again, with Parallels, you can run both XP and OS X. So my reasons against buying the Mac seem kind of weak. I always kind of shrugged off Macs for being machines for artists and musicians -- but now more and more people, especially fellow college students -- are making the switch. That had me thinking.

Bottom line: Would you rather have a Macbook Pro or a T60 (assuming they're comparably equipped) and why?

Thanks!

This has been discussed in this thread, which is actually not just about the MacBook but also the MacBook Pro's.

socal531, what kind of T60 did you order, i.e. 14.1", 15", or 15.4" (widescreen)?
