LCD on T60's worse than the T4x's

I've had 3 t60's and the screens are just horrible. when is Lenovo going to stop using cheap screens and start going back to the quality IBM had before the buyout. My t30 has a better screen than my t60p.

One example is if you open up IE on a t60 and look towards the upper right corner and look at the supposedly white background. I see pink and purple squarish boxes everywhere where it's suppose to be white and the viewing angles are horrible.

White on my 3 years old T42's IDTech is much whiter than my X60s' Hydis. Oh well ...

I moved this from the X60 forum to the T60 forum.

No, it's a 14.1" SXGA+ panel.

Those boxes.. they could be POWERPLAY setting your colours to 16-bit. Try and right-click on your desktop>properties>settings and set the colour depth to 32 bit.

I get weird colours on IE6 whenever it goes down to 16-bit to conserve energy.

codek,

What kind of screen do you have?
I went to take a look at the T60 WS at BestBuy and it has LG panel (WSXGA+). It looks really nice.

Font is a bit too small though.
