Cannot get internal bluetoth to work w/XP SP2

Just as the title says, I cannot get the internal bluetooth controller to work on my T60. I have heard that SP2 attempted to provide bluetooth support and as a result can cause problems, but I have used a friends USB bluetooth adapter just fine. The Thinkpad software installs fine, and gives me a system tray icon and "My Bluetooth Places", but Places won't open and right clicking on the tray icon tells me "bluetooth device not found" After reading through a few threads, people have suggested I simply reload the preload. That is not an option, not only did I delete it to save disk space (think what you will), but I will not tolerate all the preinstalled junk, not to mention I had a Pro license and thus got Home preloaded to save money... I have even tried calling IBM support, which simply told me to download and install the aforementioned software. Any help?

Thanks.

Can we presume that Bluetooth has been turned on using Fn+F5?

I used the switch, but I am fairly certain the effect is the same I have not set it to do anything different in BIOS so... Yes the radio is on, the wifi led is on, but bluetooth is a no-go :(

I've just looked at a T60 here; the radio switch is on, but BT is off. As soon as I turn BT on with the windows Hot Key Fn F5 fuction it then works.

I feel like an idiot, but a releived idiot. Fn F5 brought up a window and told be the blue tooth radio was indeed off. Thanks for your help, works fine now... :)
