power manager gauge disappears
Hey,
I like having the power manager gauge displayed in the windows taskbar. If I goto the Power Manager (FN+F3) and then click on the Options button, the Power Manager Gauge is activated... yet whenever I re-boot, it's not displayed. I have to goto FN+F3 and turn it off, then turn it back on. Annoying....
Any ideas on how to fix it?

He who can read properly definitely has an advantage
Have you tried repairing the program in control panel - software? Maybe an entry for the registry/autostart is missing?

in software I have a program installed called "ThinkPad Energie Manager" with a red icon, (German System), and one called "ThinkPad Power Management Driver". I would repair the first by clicking on ADD/REMOVE and then choose REPAIR.
The ThinkPad Energie Manager is the program that's responsible for the Power Management console and Fn F3. It can also be accessed by clicking twice on the battery or Programs - ThinkVantage - Power Manager.

great, good to hear it.
I was always refering to "software" in control panel - I meant of course "add remove programs". That's sometimes a problem working with a german OS.
