Costing me 2 days of xp and driver installing to realize that not my usb drives are faulty, just the new active protection driver made my system totally unusable with removable storage. I don't know the details, but when I plugged in a drive it said cannot install hardware, specified service was not found. I googled around but didn't find anything.
I removed APS, but the problem wasn't gone.
Finally after removing, I found a older driver, from 2005, not even supporting my T60 officially, which made my system back into normal.
Can you please send me a link to an older driver version, hopefully 1.41 or 1.50?
Active Protection driver 1.51 made my USB system unusable!!
