Cannot get a screen saver

Hello all, I cannot get a screen saver to work on my T60P 200893U. I have a screen saver (just the default windows XP) set up in both windows and in the Power Manager, but it never comes on. I have started to get a slight burn in on the toolbar because it dosen't come on. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!
