Got 4 T60Gp systems that I have loaded XP proffesional on. Upon Reboot after naming computer etc etc all 4 of them give me Blue screen of hellish death and of course your stuck there. These systems originally had Vista on them but of course our company is in no need nor want to switch to Vista. Any ideas on what the heck just happened?

Have you installed the sata driver?

Try switching to compability mode in the bios.

I wonder if changing the SATA setting from AHCI to "compatibility mode" would help.

Forgot to mention that. I had to do that before it would even let me install Xp to start with. I even tried to switch it back after blue screen but no go. This ones got me buggered.

Could be anything from bad memory, motherboard to media disk.

4 out of 4 systems getting the same BSODs is possible but very odd and rare too so I'm crossing out the chances of memory and motherboard being bad.

Check your media disk, if possible use another.

Few questions:

1. Can you reach Windows XP on any system, successfully?
2. If yes then make the BSOD halt and readable by following these instructions here:

Cant get to Windows on any of the systems although I remember finding a way to go in through a bootable CD and turning that off as well. I will do some digging. As for now I am loading one CD with a different Media CD and trying it. Its a Multi License CD so I reverted back to the original CD instead of the copy I had been using Will report back after the install.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but you fist formatted your hdd and then tried installing XP?

well hell I didnt know you couldnt use the partitions So Deleting the partiions like I am doing on the fresh install will work. All I did was format the partition. I removed it this time and let XP put it back Thanks for the help guys. Have a good one.
