Hi,
My T60 is 1953-e4u. Intel GMA 945/950, Core Duo, CTO with free (100Gb hdd, dvd ultralim rw, 9-cell upgrades).

When I'm using AC power, plug it off to switch to battery, the screen flash violently. But if I close the lid to standby it, plug power cord off, then open it back up, then thing's normal.

Another person in neowin.net forum with different laptop brands but with the same gpu have the same problem or worst.

His youtube demonstrate:

My T60 flashes just like that.

I've tried:
- All firmwares and drivers are latest updates.
- Intel Graphic Power Saving slided to all places, or checked off. (Right Click desktop - Graphic Properties...)
- Lenovo Power Management - LCD brightness, etc.

Your help would be greatly appreciated..thanks..

anyone?

I had this with me T40 just prior to the LCD power supply failing.
Swapped out the LCD power supply and no more problems.

Software: Which OS are you using? Try another one like linux distro.

Hardware: Could be anything on your mobo including your integrated gpu probably. Contact Lenovo, if you still have warranty left on your machine....

In another forum I thought you said your problem was solved?

Well apparently the problem is now solved due to the recent 9-cell battery recall. I've just checked again as using the new battery. Hope it'll remain that way.

Perhaps one of the reasons why Lenovo ran the second battery recall.
