Active Protection System problem???

Hello all,
I have a concern with Thinkvantage Active Protection System.

Here is what occurs at times.

Current settings 1400x1050 resolution

1. I turn on my T60P
2. I close the lid and do som errands, make phone call, etc.
3. a few minutes later I pick up my laptop, go up the stairs and put it on my desk.
4. When I open it up my monitor settings change to:

1280x1024 and all my icons are all unorganized.

basically what happens is I turn on my notebook, close the lid and after a few minutes I guess the Active Protection senses shocks from walking around and somehow changes my monitor resolution from 1400x1050 to 1280x1024 and messes up my icons.
It just did it 3 times so I need some assistance.
Anyone can help?
thanks!

The problem is unlikely to be the active protection system -- it is closing the lid, with whatever action is associated with that in your configuration. All the active protection system does is unload the heads from the hard disk; it has nothing to do with screen resolution.

The action when closing the lid is set to "do nothing"

I found out when my resolution change

My notebook is first turned off.
1. I turn it on and then immediately close the lid.
2. I wait about 15 minutes.
3 I open the lid and log in as normal.

This is what it should be:

but this is what happens:

It is tied to the Intel video driver. Make sure you have the most updated driver for it. I am assuming you have a machine with integrated graphics, yes?

Yes, this is true, nice pics though, but also don't post pic's without a warning in the subject line. It's part of the rules of the road, hope you get that problem worked out though. :SH!:
