Keyboard Removal

I have been trying to remove the keyboard for the last 2 hours after watching the video at least 10 times but have no luck yet. Even the guy in the video has to try twice to take that cable connector off. Isn't this keyboard cable connector same in nature as the palm rest connector?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

After having watched the video for the first time, I'm not impressed. In the commentary he says; in the following order: remove the battery pack and then turn the machine off
He also removes everything from behind the machine, I like to be in front

The nice thing about TPs are that there are markings for which screws need to be removed before the component.
After turning the macine off, remove the battery... (sorry I couldn't resist it).

On the keyboard connector there is a small tab, (looks like an extension of the flat band cable), pull gently on it and the connector should release itself. There's not alot of play and the tab can be hard to grasp - a wooden toothpick or similar non metal tool can help to raise it making it easier to grasp.

Wait until you try to reconnect it - I hate that
