t60p: Extremely low 3d mark score
t60p: Extremely low 3d mark score
I can't remember the exact score but I believe I got 700 on the low and 300 on the high. This is attrociously bad, yet, I can run any games that I want at full resolution and I experience almost no problems.
Anybody know what could be the problem?

3dmark 2005 or 2006? What is your model and what are the specs?

That is strange ... did you check that the machine was:
1. not on battery?
2. not running at balance/optimal performance (in power manager ... these settings throttle the CPU speed)?
3. at ATI powerplay was at max performance setting?

1) Plugged in
2) Running on optimal power settings
3) DOH!, it was set for optimum battery!
I did fix it and got marginal improvement with an overall score of 1700 or so. I don't remember, but it wasn't so good.
I've installed the omega drivers, I haven't had a chance to do a benchmark, but once I get back to AC power I will give it a shot.
Edit: It runs cooler to boot too! 5 hours battery left at 90%! I hope that that it automatically switches to a more aggressive power profile automatically, I have already configured the thing enough today and I am going to get bleeding fingers if I do that too much
3DMark Score 1588 3DMarks
SM2.0 Score 560
HDR/SM3.0 Score 574
CPU Score 1989
Not too bad
