Is there diff. between R&R CDs for Core duo and core 2 d

#1 Post by gator » Tue Apr 17, 2007 8:13 pm

I recently got hold of rescue and recovery CDs (original from IBM) dated Jan 2007, that was wrongly shipped with a system with win xp home (CDs are for win xp pro). Will these CDs work with with my Core Duo T60 bought in Aug '06?

The CD does list my model number (2613), but it was bought for a system with Core 2 duo.

Any info is appreciated.

They will surely work. I don't think so the dissimilarity in processor makes any difference. You can always change the cpu too.
