#1 Post by ancientweird » Mon Apr 23, 2007 7:00 pm

Sorry for the n00bish question but...

Do Thinkpads come shipped with an AC adapter? I want to know because it doesn't specifically say that they come with one.

Thinkpad gets shipped with: (depends if you have ordered from lenovo)

1. Battery
2. AC adapter
3. Spare 3 Trackpoints
4. Spare screws

With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."

another question

Thanks for the info. My order has been shipped and should be delivered in two days.

I have another simple question. I have a 17" Sony monitor and would like to know if i can simply plug it in to the VGA port on the Thinkpad to use as a second display. Does this work and is it that simple?

Yes you can plug it in and use it as a second display. You'll have to right click on your desktop and go to properties->settings. Then click the 2nd box and click "Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor"
