In the pdf doc they don't, however on this
notebookreview link the guy does talk about the blue-ray option at the very end of the his article.
By accident I found another article that supports my fear that there won't be a blu ray option for the T61. According to
Gizmodo there will be only blu ray available for the R61 in July. This was the same for DVD burner with the T40 and R40.
I just hope, I will be proven wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I won't disagree with anything anyone has said (much wisdom).
I just feel like I've missed out, and because I am but a petulent child, I will whinge and moan about it.
My biggest moan is that I was less than a month from buying the 15" IPS UXGA T60p before it was withdrawn, then before I resigned to having a 1400x1050 one the IPS models were withdrawn - and after that heart break, I went to get a 15" 4:3 model and they were all gone too! What's worse, when i finally decided that I'd better hurry up and get a 4:3 while I still can (less than a month later), Lenovo here told me sorry, no can do.
Absolutely, my dream is in tatters.
So I wll now spend countless hours trolling the internet for second hand ones.
I'm also keen to see what people think of this model when it comes out
PS. Sighh.

Or put text inside the URL tags and change the opening tag from:

to

(in brackets of course).

What is the likelihood of a turn around on certain design features on the T61? For instance the mic/headphone port placement? Presumably, that would require a redesign of certain areas of the casing, perhaps not the motherboard, but internal chassis redesign also?
Presumably, these parts must be being manufactured currently in order to build up supplies for the May launch?
Am I just being too hopeful?

Thanks for the link seeplus, but they explicitly declare that they do not accept international orders (I'm in New Zealand)

Cheers again though.

I'm wondering about this too. The Z61t series have a standard 4-cell battery. Could the T61 be using this battery? But the Z61t's extended battery is 7-cell.
I'm looking to buy a T60 and I'm a little surprised to find out that ATI graphics use more battery than integrated graphics. In my old Pentium M laptops, having ATI actually means longer battery life.

Graphics Dorks/Professionals:
I did some digging around for information on the discrete graphics in the T61 that was spec'd at the beginning of this thread (the nvidia Quadro NVS 140M.) Thought I'd share.
From what I could find, seems that it's based on the Nvidia G36 (which is also the hardware behind the coming Nvidia Go 8400/8600.) This should mean that the T61p variants will have some sort of stepped up Quadro NVS solution also based on the G36.

From what I gather, as nvidia does not have an actual listing for this particular chip, it is 8400 class, perhaps a bit more. But I wouldn't call it mid-range (8600).
I'm hoping that there will be a plain non-Quadro 8600 available, as well as a high-end quadro at least on the T61p.
