Waterfield sleeve ...vertical or horizontal?

I have the T60P 15' UXGA and need opinions on which of these two sleeves to get.

I am leaning toward a backpack and was told by Waterfield that the vertical sleeve then was the way to go and that with the relative square shape of my particular notebook, it was kind of a toss-up.

Is the vertical a good choice and or is the laptop difficult to get in and out of the vertical versus horizontal?

Does the vertical sleeve feel weird or look weird?

Any thoughts?

uh, i don't think it's that square. it's not really a toss up. you'll have a much harder time keeping the sleeve in your backpack when taking out the thinkpad if you get a horizontal sleeve. (unless your backpack is really huge and has a big opening)

i went with the vertical because i wanted to use it with a backpack. i'm glad i did - it's worked out quite nicely for me.

ditto - 15" t60p with the vertical and it works well. use it with a backpack.

For backpacks, I would say vertical is a better choice.

You could also try sleeves from www.shorelinecases.com which I think offer really good protection for the laptop. It is a big thicker.
