T60 + Vista + Backing up + Will it Go to Sleep Mode?

#1 Post by jlingo » Mon Apr 30, 2007 11:28 am

Hi There,
I was just wondering, I own T60 Vista and it seems like after about 10 minutes of idle my laptop wouldl lock itself out followed by sleep mode after 30 minutes.
The question is, let say I'm doing back up using TrueImage under Vista for more than 1 hour, will my T60 go to sleep mode soon after the back up is completed or it will disrupt my back up process and go into sleep mode just right after 30minutes anyway? How about if I'm downloading files or information that requires more than one hour? Would Vista be smart enough to know to when to go into sleep mode? Or it will disconnect and disrupt my download. Same thing with Defragging, Virus Scanning?

Thank you in Advance,

In your power profiles, just disable standby.... the options should be there and you're good....
