Strange battery percentage

Hi, I'm going to get straight to the point.
Today my battery capacity took a rather large drop in capacity (7Wh), and the battery condition changed to a yellow fair.
After doing a recommended gauge reset, it charged back to 100%. The funny thing is that windows says that i have 86% charge in the battery. If unplugged, windows will start falling from 86%. The thinkpad power manager will also start falling but from 100%. Is it slightly strage that they don't agree on a state of charge? It's never happened before so I thought i would ask you guys if you knew anything. I know that windows calculates remaining time and such differently than the thinkpad one, but why a 14% difference????? Anyone have any ideas?
