Did you have the same phone when you had the Dell? I've never been able to transfer files from Nokia phones to my computer, while Sony Ericsson phones always worked.

I think you should. I remember transfering some small excel files from my nokia a while back to the t60 via bluetooth, and sending them back from the t60 onto my phone.
If I remember right, all that was required was to turn on the bluetooth on the laptop/phone, search for the phone on the laptop, and pair. The T60 automatically updates the bluetooth settings and gives you an"OBEX FILE TRANSFER" folder, which I believe what i used to drag and drop files to my phone.
But...I wanted to use a psiloc wireless presenter, and its extended features could only be activated after sending a file from the phone to the laptop. It would not send! After much frustation, psiloc finally confirmed that I needed some widcomm?? (I think thats how you spell it) drivers, and not the lenovo ones.

I was able to send files from my Nokia to my T42. If you don't have the Widcom drivers, I believe it can still be done on a Nokia if you download and install
Nokia PC Suite. For a Motorola, you can get
Motorola Phone Tools. Note that file transfers are disabled on certain phones by some of the carriers (they force you send the file over the air so that they can collect addition revenue). Verizon is famous for that.
Motorola wrote:Note: If you are a Verizon customer, all multimedia and internet connection features in this software will be disabled due to carrier request. Please contact your service provider for further information.
