Question regarding resolution (t61(p))

Well ive read numerous articles about the fact that there will be no more IPS (Flexview) in the coming models however i didnt find a clear statement wether that means there will be no UXGA any more.
IS it possible that there will be t61p with UXGA or higher despite the fact that they wont be IPS ?

There will be no 15" fullscreen models at all, but there will be 15.4" widescreen models, and some of them are supposed to be WUXGA.

I guess that better than nothing :-/. I assume they are all gonna be TN displays or is there a sopark of hope to get something slightly better than that ?

Probably all TN at this point. There is a chance that somewhere down the road there will be VA displays, but IPS seems to be really pushed out of the laptop sector. Hard.

VA doesn't look that bad. At extreme angles colors tend to wash out a bit, but not as horrible as on TN.

I imagine it will be similar to the WUXGA that was shipping with the Z61p. Mine has an LG-Phillips 15.4" WUXGA -- it is a TN panel. I actually think it is pretty good. I have heard there is also a Samsung 15.4" WUXGA LCD, but have not seen it. Bad thing is that I can't find the LG-Phillips 15.4" WUXGA on their site anymore. Maybe they cancelled it.
