Fn+F3 doesn't work on T60 8744

#1 Post by tripalthreat » Thu May 03, 2007 5:04 pm

I'm new to the forum and, since you guys seem to have some great ideas, I was hoping you could help me with my new T60 (8744-5BU).

Fn+F3 (to turn the monitor off) only works intermittently - sometimes the screen turns off, other times it does not. When it doesn't work, the box "Preparing to turn off monitor" shows until I move the mouse, but the screen never shuts off.

Any idea what is causing this? The only software besides the factory stuff is Office 2003.

Haven't gotten around to making a signature yet, so the T60 has the ATI x1400 in it, if that helps.

Thanks!

Anyone have any suggestions? This is really bothering me!

By the way, I use the TP in a user account mode most of the time, and I cannot remember if I have had this problem in an administrator account...
