Hello All,
There is something odd happening with my T60p (2007-84u) docked into the advanced dock recently.
Whenever I load Trillian 4.0 alpha (I'm a tester), all of a sudden, at rare times, I lose power on my external USB mouse and keyboard.
I've been only noticing it when I load up Trillian, which is very weird and I don't think it can be the real culplit here.
I've been only (though, not a 100% certain), been noticing this recently, and I don't know if it's with the new BIOS (the one released in April).
Has anyone noticed any odd behaviors with the T60p, the docking station, and any attached USB perhiperals.
*To note, a while back there was a recall, not formally announced, but on Lenovo's site regarding a replacement of a certain batch of docks that had issues with the USB ports, which I did replace; so I do not think that would be the issue.
What I've tried:
Removing the dock from AC, and made sure all current from it had been dissapated and reconnected everything back. The mouse I'm using is a standard Dell 3 button mouse and the keyboard is a Dell keyboard as well with built in volume control and stop, mute, play, ffw, rew, buttons (nothing overly fancy).

I am experiencing a similar issue with my USB ports 'resetting' themselves while I work.
Lenovo T60 ( 2623-D6U ) docked in a Port Replicator (type 2505).
ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 display adapter.
Windows Vista Ultimate.
When my laptop is docked and I have an external monitor set up as a secondary display then I can make the USB bus "reset" itself by dragging a window quickly around on the screen. Within 10 seconds the USB bus will "reset", causing the mouse to stop moving and the numlock on my external USB keyboard to flash.
This is quite irritating as this problem tends to manifest itself when I drag a window from one display to the other..
Note that this problem only happens when I use an external monitor as a secondary display. If I turn off the secondary display then the problem goes away.
Below are some of the troubleshooting steps that I have tried:
* Doesn't matter if the dock is plugged into the A/C adapter
* It doesn't matter which USB ports I use (the ones on the Port Replicator vs the ports on the laptop itself).
* Even if the keyboard/mouse are the only things plugged into the USB ports, I still see this problem.
* No external USB hubs are being used.
* Tried a different USB mouse.
* Tried a different keyboard.
* I moved my keyboard to the PS/2 connector on the dock. While this does prevent the keyboard light from flashing when the USB ports 'reset', it didn't solve the problem.
* I tried different versions of the ATI video card driver (latest from Lenovo vs the latest from Windows Update).
* I have tried a different Port Replicator.
* I reformatted/reinstalled Vista onto my laptop earlier this week with no luck.
* I updated my BIOS to version 2.16 as well with no luck.
* I installed all the little 'registry' hacks that Lenovo's System Update recommends.
